Material 317l Stainless Steel Pipe
317 stainless steel pipe is a molybdenum-based austenitic stainless steel pipe with superior pitting corrosion resistance compared to 316 stainless steel, and is commonly used in printing and dyeing equipment. This material is manufactured according to the American ASTM standard, corresponding to the Chinese grade 00Cr19Ni13Mo3 ultra-low carbon steel, and possesses stronger resistance to intergranular corrosion. Its chemical composition, with chromium (18.0-20.0%), nickel (11.0-15.0%), and molybdenum (3.0-4.0%) content, is designed to make it suitable for highly corrosive environments such as chemical ships and reactors.
317L stainless steel pipe (corresponding to the Chinese grade 00Cr19Ni13Mo3) is an ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel pipe manufactured according to the American ASTM standard. It belongs to the heat-resistant steel category and is widely used in highly corrosive environments such as chemical, petrochemical, nuclear power, marine engineering, and energy industries. Its chemical composition contains 18%-20% chromium, 11%-15% nickel, and 3%-4% molybdenum, with a carbon content ≤0.030% (ultra-low carbon). The reduced carbon content enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion, while the molybdenum element improves resistance to chloride corrosion.
