40Cr seamless steel pipe is a kind of seamless steel pipe with medium strength and good hardenability. Its chemical composition includes carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium and other elements.
After quenching and tempering, 40Cr seamless alloy steel pipe has good comprehensive mechanical properties, low temperature impact toughness and small notch sensitivity. The steel has good hardenability. It can be hardened to Ф28~60mm by water quenching and oil quenching, and can be penetrated to Ф15~40mm by oil quenching.
40Cr seamless alloy round steel pipe is also suitable for cyanidation treatment and high-frequency quenching treatment, and has good cutting performance. When the hardness is 174~229HB, the relative machinability is 60%. Therefore, 40Cr seamless steel pipe is suitable for making medium-sized plastic molds, shaft accessories, etc.
