- This standard applies to tubes with outside diameters from 1/8 inch to 3 inches [3.2 to 76.2 mm].
- Note1 A steel pipe with an outside diameter and wall thickness smaller than the range specified in this standard is also applicable to this standard. However, the relevant mechanical properties do not apply to the outside diameter of less than 1/8 inch [3.2mm] or wall thickness of less than 0.015 inches [0.4mm].
- In inch-pounds and SI millimeter-kilograms, the values in SI units are indicated in parentheses for testing purposes. Since two different systems of units of measure do not agree precisely, they cannot be used at the same time. Mixing the two units of measure will result in inconsistent specifications. Therefore, when the inch-pound unit system is used, the use of M units needs to be specifically stated in the order.
